Meetings are the first Friday of the month at:

(two blocks west of Skokie Blvd, two blocks south of Lake Cook Rd.)

St. Cecilia’s Church

Meetings are open to bereaved parents, siblings (older teens and up), grandparents, and friends for support in early meetings. No preregistration needed; no fees. Meetings usually last until approximately 10:00 PM followed by refreshments and fellowship.

We do not have a sibling group yet, but we do have a sibling leader who meets informally with young adults and is trying to expand participation from our chapter and the Chicago chapter.


Additional Chapter Information and Activities

Newsletter
Chapter newsletter every two months (18-25 pages). Contains chapter news, articles, poems, love gifts, and listing of all children whose birthday or anniversary date falls during that two month period. A resource page and announcements from the national organization are also included. The newsletter is available whether or not one attends meetings.

Lending Library
Extensive lending library - books, pamphlets, audio and video tapes.

Birthday table
At each meeting parents whose child's birthday falls during that month are invited to bring pictures and/or memorabilia and are given an opportunity to tell the group more about their child than they usually do during introductions.

Annual balloon launch (Summer/early Fall)

Annual candle lighting service (December)
