Although we meet in a Catholic hospital, we are not affiliated with the hospital, nor is TCF affiliated with any specific religion or religious association.

Meetings are open to parents, siblings (teen and older), grandparents and friends. You are welcome unannounced. No registration is required.

What the South Suburban Chapter Offers

Lending Library
The chapter has over 100 books and some cassettes on grief, coping and inspirational topics to help you with your private struggles. Books are available to browse and check out at any monthly meeting.

Newsletter
We are very fortunate to have a monthly newsletter available at no charge. It includes writings and reflections from members of our own chapter and many writings from TCF members all across the country. The newsletter will soon be available electronically in PDF format (Acrobat Reader Required).

You can also sign up to be on our mailing list at a monthly meeting or by contacting us and requesting we add you to the mailing list.

Birthday/Anniversary Table
Parents are invited to bring photos or other items to display at our monthly meetings during the month of their child's anniversary or birthday.

Annual Candlelighting Service
The second Sunday of December the South Suburban Chapter honors our children at an evening candlelighting service. The candle lighting coincides with Children's Memorial Day which is recognized by all chapters around the world. Beginning in New Zealand and continuing around the world between 7:00-8:00pm in each local time zone, the candle lighting is our way of honoring our children with a continuous wave of light for that day. The location is published in our newsletter several months in advance.
