Testimonials
"When I first came to a meeting it was to see other people surviving. I needed to know it was possible to live again, that life would continue somehow.
I was uncomfortable and didn't want to be there. Most everyone had an adult child who died, my son was 3.
But I kept coming because I needed something. After the third meeting it didn't matter that my child was only 3 and someone else's child was 43. It didn't matter who was older or who was younger.
What I found were people of all ages, races and faiths struggling just like me. We all miss our children regardless of their age or how they died and the experience of sharing our loss was very healing."

"17 years ago my son was killed in a motorcycle accident. It happened the day before his 21st birthday. Needless to say, I was devastated. Someone told me about Compassionate Friends and I went to my first meeting within the month of his death.
It was such a healing experience for me to be in the presence of so many people who had suffered the same loss that I had and to hear their stories and see that they were surviving. Compassionate Friends kept me going through that first year after my Son died. I would live to attend the next meeting where I knew I would find people who understood what I was going through. Compassionate Friends kept me going and kept me sane at that most difficult time in my life."
